THE
SENATE PRESIDENT'S SPEECH
In the beginning, it was tough and rough full of trials and tribulations, agonies and pains, victimization, incarceration,
trepidation and infact heralded by multi-facet, multifarious and multi dimensional adversities which are ultra-normal in nature.
Without dilly-dally procrastination or equivocation, we emerged as New Executive and Senate Council of the National Association
of Diploma Students (NADS), for 2006/07.
The union assumed power in the milieu of insurmountable
problems crying for intervention. Thank God that we are able to put everything in order and maintain perfect mutual understanding,
reconciliation and compromise in both the Executive and the Senate Council. To crown it all, a lot of water has passed under
the bridge, Student Unionism has gone beyond gansterism, hooliganism, terrorism, monetarism, rascalism and bigmanism. It is
time to use intellectualism and moralism.
My speech will be nonsensically incomplete and
infinitesimally myopic with millions of thanks to those who made us what we are today. Undoubtedly, it was our yesterday that
made today. Special thanks to Prof H.A Saliu – Patron of the Association &
Dean of B.S.S and also to the able Coordinator of the Professional Programme in person of Dr. E.O. Oriola, Miss Elelu
(Iya Baraka) and some other staff of the Professional Programmes.
My extreme and great thanks to all Organizers
of the various department and the H.O.D’s and also to all NADASITES as a whole. GREATEST NADSITES, EVER CONSCIOUS NADSITES, EVER REASONABLE NADSITES, EVER DYNAMIC NADSITES,
ANTI CORRUPTION NADSITES, PRO DEVELOPMENT NADSITES, GREAT OOO…
